An idea of flawless beauty! A lovely idea that blossomed in the eyes that discover the perfectly proportioned blue beauty of Palakkad under any heavenly circular bindi of universality! There are unimaginable aspects to this beautiful dream, coloured by the thoughts of the emigrants who have never felt satiated of imbibing the joy of living in their homeland.
The background of this prodigious project is the conglomeration of the devices and possibilities seeking to attain bliss through the amalgamation of each pulse beat of Palakkad into one’s own like art, culture, traditions, language, childhood, nostalgia, memories, relations, rustic magnificence, local cuisine, rituals and rites, costumes, home-making ideas, customs and conventions, etc. There will be thousands of scattered dreams accompanying each person who has been transplanted, at different times, to faraway lands for livelihood and mainstay of one’s own life.
There may have been imaginations that have been stunted by the heavy concerns on his future. All these need not be limited to a personal realm. The broken roots and forgotten scents of the native soil may, later on, end just as a memory. It is right from there that we have to begin this journey of ours.
Palakkad Pravasi Centre is the grouping together of all those who share this heartthrob on Palakkad among them. It is a regrouping, in continuation of the Palakkad Association UAE, formed in Dubai in 2009, that is now formed for unifying all pravasi people from Palakkad, spread all over the world, so that the dream of a ‘Global Palakkad’ may be realized. Palakkad Pravasi Centre is the concomitant form of Palakkadan organizations working in UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, UK, USA, Germany, etc.

To realize the Vision by establishing a centralized point with uninterrupted communication system, establishing an Arts, Cultural & Sports Centre with due focus on Literature activities including a world class library, organizing regular family meets, supporting business initiatives and facilitating liaison work for the fulfillment of genuine family, entertainment & business needs of Palakkadan emigrants
Key Objectives
- The prime focus of PPC is on the welfare and well being of NRIs from Palakkad, settled NRIs and their children.
- To promote Fine arts, Culture, Literature and Sports activities.
- To establish and maintain library and reading rooms.
- To organize Seminars on various forms of art and culture associating major artists and art critics.
- To work in collaboration with Department of cultural affairs of Government of Kerala, Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India and any other local bodies, state or central government agencies/departments.
- To promote literacy, cultural and other social activities of awareness programs, Adult education classes, Lecturers, Essay competitions, Exhibitions, Symposium, Cultural Programs, Press Conferences and seminars.
- To arrange and organize Arts, Cultural, Sports programs/ activities from time to time.
- To publish Illustrations, Journals, Magazine and other publications on different subjects and in different languages.
- To conduct coaching classes for the preparation of the various competitive examinations.
- To purchase/ acquire land for different establishments and to construct building thereon the cause of society.
- To provide socio-economic support to poor and needy people.
- To provide fast track consultation with specialist doctors.
- To arrange for lab investigations at home on appointment basis.
